Enjoy this skit from last night's NHL Awards! Maybe it'll get you into the mood for the big NHL Draft tomorrow!
Sure you can listen to me on the radio at 93.1FM in the Peace Region, or online at http://www.bigcountryxx.com, but why not get an extra dose of what I have to say, by checking out my blog as well? The following opinion does not reflect that of the JPBG.

Meal Plan of Champions
It's no wonder I put on so much weight. For breakfast I had left over garlic mashed potatoes and a banana. For lunch, I had Wendy's. For supper, I had ice cream. Now I'm mowin' down on some left over bowtie pasta.
What's the worst food day you've ever had?

Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be...
...sissy's who think they wanna ride the Ferris Wheel. I'll touch on this later!
Every year in Grande Prairie, they have an incredible week of western delights called "Stompede". This includes a rodeo every day and World Pro Chucks every night. Really cool. They also crown a new "Miss Grande Prairie Stompede" Queen. This past year it was the lovely Leigha Rode! She's a delight. You know those people who have such a kind soul, you feel like you've known them for years? That's Leigha. And she's
just SO pretty! Look at me not being able to pull off my Codie Prevost cowboy hat. LOL! I was just going to go with the the pigtails, but Jim made a crude comment, so I felt I should throw a hat on!
Anyways, this photo to the left is from the Tuesday night festivities. A parade and a cattle drive, where riders keep a bunch of calves in line as they walk through the streets of Grande Prairie. Fast forward to Friday night. I'm emceeing the Beer Gardens. James and I check in with the DJ (my friend Kenny Kixx - from #yeg area, does weddings & kicks ass) and his co-hort, Corey (single, adorable, if you're single let me know I'll hook you up). With plenty of time to kill, James and I head over to the midway. We get in line and take on the Tilt-A-Whirl first. Good times. Then I say, "Let's go on the ferris wheel! It'll be SO romantic". So we do. The Ferris Wheel always seems like a good idea at the time. Once we were in and the bucket started to sway I started to freak out. I've seen way too many shows on "Amusement Parks Gone Wrong". James took this to mean "photo opportunity". As you'll see below! I have never seen my face like that! EEEESH!
James, however, thought this was absolutely hilarious. And as he leaned forward to take more photos, or to laugh or to look down (who looks down? crazy people!) the bucket rocked even more! Needless to say, I will never ride the ferris wheel again. Bah, who am I kidding?? I'll forget this ever happened and do it again next year!
